Why Do I Prefer Mastodon?

Lots of reasons but here are the main ones:

• No adverts, clickbait, scams or other nasties creeping into the timeline.
• No Algorithms: only content from people I follow, and in the order that they posted it.
• Not owned by one individual or organisation, so won't be ruined on their whim.
• I run my own server on my own web address, which makes it personal and secure.
• A choice of native apps and a half decent web interface too.
